@sebasporto thanks for the mention of rivetsjs.com, actually I have seen this already and its quite small and without dependencies with namespacing technique in data-namespace-* attributes, but the whole concept revolves around publish-subscribe mechanism which is same as observes in canjs. So implementing such a functionality can be simple and more robust in canjs when we have deep object model observability already available in canjs.
I think Kendo UI has combination of the both approaches MVVM and templates.
Often we need to tie the model with HTML binding and that is sufficient. For doing more complex things templates conditional partials can be useful.
