At a minimum you can't have something changing live-bound DOM. This is almost self evident, but I'd accept a patch of the docs that warn of this.
It's certainly not a bug because it'd be practically impossible to keep live binding while allowing arbitrary DOM modifications.
The only thing we could do if if Dom modification events were universal and not super slow - we could disable live binding when someone changes the Dom structure.
But this would not help your situation.
