I agree with johnhenry here, but would suggest that you keep the existing util files there as boilerplates and continue to leverage the "works with any library" verbiage. I think we all agree that everybody is likely using jQuery or Zepto - but the fact that someone can use a different library speaks more towards the design philosophy of canjs more than its capabilities. Just my 2c.
