Justin
Not particularly helpful. I don't need help with mustache/handlebars per se. I needed to know why the plugin fails to even load and instantiate.
But I have found the problem.
My version of can.jquery.js,is 1.0
My version of can.view.mustache.js is 1.1.6
The original download of canjs was only a couple of weeks or so ago so I'm a bit shocked that it has changed so much in such a short time.
I'm also surprised that there is no version compatibility check and AFAICS no statement *anywhere* that mustache needs version 1.x
Can I suggest that you add such a statement to the invitation to download can.mustache on your website. It might save someone else the grief.
Anyway, at least I can move on.
